The WVU Planetarium is no longer having in-person shows due to COVID-19. We are doing virtual shows! Head over to our Showtimes tab to see our virtual show schedule. If you have any questions or concerns about us moving online please send them to planetarium@mail.wvu.edu.

The West Virginia University Planetarium is located on the PL Floor of White Hall, 135 Willey Street. Please note that we cannot answer the telephone while in the planetarium, so call or email in advance to assure there's time to get your message returned!

If, during the day on Friday, we have significant snow and/or bad ice conditions on the road, there will be no shows.

We rely on your sound judgement.

PARKING

There are many parking options available around the planetarium. Many garages and lots are within walking distance and cost around $1.25 per hour to park. Click here to see available lots downtown and hourly rates at the university and click here for more general Morgantown parking information.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access to the planetarium is through the front basement door of the building on Willey street directly across from The Grind coffee shop. When you enter, just go left around the stairs, through a door and follow the hallway to the elevators. Take the elevators to the PL level.

The planetarium also has listening devices for those that are hard of hearing. Please let us know ahead of time or when you first arrive if you'd like to use of those devices.
